How to educate yourself
Investing in employees’ education is one of the best practices a company can do for two different sides: the company side and the employee side. From the company side it is positive because it helps building strong relationships with the hired workers. Plus, on the other hand, employees are benefited because they learn new and better skills that allow them to be prepared with deeper knowledge and to develop their careers further.
As the world is moving and changing so fast, keeping employees trained can be difficult for a company. Businesses may encounter difficulties that will not allow them to educate you with the same tools and skills as it was in the past. And… Have you felt that sensation that once you finish an education program a new technique or lesson comes out? This may lead you to feel that you are not updated and you are missing valuable knowledge.
It is great when you have in-company education but, you should know that waiting for companies to deliver the training you need for your personal growth can be risky and it might not happen.
In this article, I will tell you:
what you can do to continue developing your own career.
I will show you three different methods you could use to continue studying and also,
I will tell you how I met Roberto Pesce, my master in Financial Education.
First things first
Self-education nowadays is the key to continue developing your own career and supporting your own road to success. You need to be active to keep searching, reading and learning. The most successful businessman and businesswoman today have confessed that they spend some of their time reading and learning new things.
Free Online Trainings
Nowadays, you have many free online training sources available with so much variety on their offer. Some of them are free and from worldwide recognized institutions. For example, Linkedin has its own platform called Linkedin Learning where you can find education around subjects such as Business Strategy, Career Development, software development, public speaking, virtual presence, human resources, sales, leadership, marketing and many more.
Another way to get education is using the Online Learning given by relevant Universities in Coursera, on this site you can find trainings prepared from high level Universities from basic language and mathematics trainings to the possibility of getting an MBA or science certifications. Another program brought by a prestigious university is the online education website of the Harvard University. And the best part is that all this is for free.
Eventually you will be offered to buy the books online and to pay the certificate at the end if you want.
Some of the best online learning platforms include Coursera, Skillshare, Udemy, Codecademy, Edx, Pluralsight, Future Learn and Moodle. Apart from online learning platforms, we also have online course platforms like LearnWorlds, Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi and Podia.
There is a third way, as well…
Asking the community
As well as the many platforms we mentioned before, there is a big network of people that offer their own webinars and trainings. Find the subject you want to learn and ask for many people in many global virtual communities for information. You can even ask relevant people related with what you want to learn, contact them and, as always, make a plan for learning. The plan’s objective is to avoid distraction in your main activity.
This is the way how I met Roberto Pesce, in Italy, who helped me a lot with my Financial Education. I have not only participated on physical trainings when it was possible obviously, but a lot of learning online as well. Early in the morning, one hour a day, was a good moment for me, from my home, to learn about Private Investments, Financial Freedom techniques and strategies from Roberto. He is a great teacher and a great motivator that helps not only to learn about something but motivates you to go that extra mile that is needed, not only to educate yourself by yourself, but also motivates you around the mindful thinking about your own money management and the possibility for you to manage it by yourself and not by others. He is another person that is there online for help and share most of his knowledge to who is ready for it.
Now, tell me…
Did you know any of the online platforms in this article? What subject would you like to learn?
