Morning yoga before work

The practice of yoga on a regular basis offers us the opportunity to observe ourselves and feel different from what we usually do.

What is the best time of day to practice yoga? Really, the best time to do yoga is the best time for you, but today I would like to share my experience practicing yoga in the morning before work.

On getting out of bed the body is still asleep and stiff, but the mental level is calm and still with few thoughts, perhaps with some memory of dreams. However, a morning yoga session will help you start the day with more energy and is one of the best times to do your practice. As soon as you wake up, I recommend drinking a glass of warm water with lemon, doing your daily meditation and activating your nervous system with a little physical movement. It is something that I have been doing for a long time and it has become my daily routine. You will feel a sense of physical and mental well-being when you start your day.

In addition to this, yoga in the morning has other benefits such as:

  • Activate your muscles and joints.

  • Conscious breathing will not only wake up your body, but also your mind.

  • Relieves (and prevents) stress and anxiety.

  • Increases the body's energy, also positive energy and good mood.

  • It is an exclusive moment for you.

  • It is a discipline of perseverance and self-knowledge that will help you grow physically and personally.

  • It is also aerobic work that facilitates blood circulation and is very healthy for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels if done daily.

Morning yoga for a working person is also ideal because you can take it with you anywhere, a simple folding mat fits in any small suitcase and can accompany you on your business trips. You can practice it in almost any hotel room and many times we even get together as a small group and do yoga in the morning before starting the work day together.

I share this image from my last trip to India where I shared a yoga class with some of my managers.

I hope you enjoyed the post and I would love for you to tell me about your own experience. Do you practice yoga daily and at any particular time? How do you feel your day changes when you practice the exercises?
