Mindful India

I had the pleasure of making my second visit to India and first to our sites in Pune and Thane during this week. After more than 5 years of the first experience, I had the same feeling as the first one in North India back in 2017.

Warm people, with an incredible supportive heart, without limits to love and welcome those who come from afar. His conscientious kindness opened my heart and mind and made India a special culture for my heart.

During an intensive week of traveling around the country, visiting customers and our people in the different factories and service centers, I found interesting and very valuable conversations with our key customers in the edible oil industry. They showed their concern for their own business, their people and their country in light of the current situation of the war between Ukraine and Russia, with thoughtful minds approaching the new era and concern for the price increases of their basic products. They are very compassionate not only to those affected by the war but also to the people in India who will suffer from price increases that many of them will have a hard time coping with. I would really like to thank both Adami Wilmar and the NK Proteins leaders of those groups for allowing me to be a part of their thoughts, taking time to discuss with me and share with us, their work homes and their people.

In addition, I was able to visit our team in Pune, India for the first time, which is a wonderful city in the state of Maharashtra. With around 8 million inhabitants, full of colors, a vibrant atmosphere and different aromas coming from the streets where there is a sense of community and a compassionate separation between people and animals. There the modern and traditional times mix and a vibrant development is happening in front of our eyes.

There I met our warm and innovative Indian leaders from our manufacturing, engineering, and sales and service organization. All of them with the ambition to improve to accelerate the success of their people, their clients and the planet.

Taking great care to ensure that all of our colleagues arrive home safely each day, leaders who inspire happiness and kindness at work.

Leaders and colleagues from different areas are cunning to develop sustainability and positive impact on the planet, by reducing electricity, water, steam, waste, plastic, paper and adding to everything they do in their work. With a heart of solidarity with others through the different corporate social responsibility actions that are being promoted throughout India.

Our team at the service center also pays great attention to improving the experience of our thousands of customers who count on us to reduce the time of interventions so that they can continue their operations and continue to serve their customers as well.

The collaborative mind within and outside India of our colleagues allows me to understand once again that the friendly union of our people in this vast Group with the Middle East, South and East Africa that I have the honor to lead will help us to do more together. to once again secure our core purpose of accelerating the success of our people, customers, partners and our planet.

This makes me confirm once again that we live and work for a great company, and that our company is made up of great conscientious people who support each other, support customers and partners, and work carefully to make a difference to our planet.
