A visionary leader is the one that always thinks ahead. That has the perspective to see the outcome in a crystal-clear way since the beginning – and to lead the way to it – while, for the rest of the team, it may seem a little blurry.

This kind of leader has a strong ability to share his own convictions and beliefs to generate a positive energy of change that motivates others to push boundaries and accomplish different achievements. The words that come from them inspire people and soon they will be taking leader’s vision as their own.

Creative minds bring new ideas and lead impressive changes

In the business life there are many good examples of visionary leaders:

  • Steve Jobs as executive president and cofounder of Apple company,

  • Jack Welch and his formidable vision in General Electric,

  • Elon Musk, cofounder of PayPal, and many other companies, CEO of Tesla, is confident that his company, SpaceX, will land humans on Mars,

  • Oprah Winfrey, best known for her talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” is also a TV producer, author, actress and philanthropist.

These people – and many more – dare to live in a higher level and encourage other to improve their lives. They are the ones that understand and believe that long term thinking brings great results.

Give your people hope for the future and they will follow you

Also these great visionary leaders stay focused in the future even if it is not yet clear enough. Majid Al Futtaim, founder of the famous shopping mall of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, opened a 630 store mall in 2000. Located 20 km away of the center of Dubai and with the first Ski Slope in the desert, today had 2 expansions and is the 9th most profitable shopping mall globally.

Leading today, for the future, is seeing what others do not see. It is to find that blue ocean of opportunity, have a clear purpose and give your people real hope for the future.

Now, I would like to know…
