Yesterday, a new life started for you, and I’m sure that, in your next life, you will be a leader as magnificent as you have been here.

I have learned a lot from your leadership and today, looking to all the memories, it becomes more evident than before, your uniqueness as a football player and your leadership style will remain for ever.

You had a dream (to play a World Cup for Argentina), you had a mission (to win it). And you accomplished that goal. You were a great leader during periods of crisis: you won Local Regional and World Tournaments with teams that were not performing against tougher competition. Your motivation skills helped to motivate your teams and being able to bring energy where it was not there,

Your passion for the ball was so evident that you have being able to transfer it to your followers.

Great communication skills, to the point that every time you were posting a comment the world knew it.

Recognized sense of humor and simple and informal friendship style, with your networking competences you have been able to be in contact with all levels of individuals, from popes and presidents to the most humble individuals.

A truly expat around the world adapting and embracing different cultures in different sides of the world, Argentina, Italia, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.

Of course as many times happens, success brings negative feelings from others, like envy, jealousy and anger.

I cannot imagine what was like to be Diego Maradona, but I will remember you as a great leader
