A leadership Expo-rience

I was visiting Expo 2020 in Dubai a few days ago. This event is the Universal Fair that should have taken place last year in 2020, but due to the pandemic it was moved to this year and began in October 2021.

The main theme of the exhibition is "Connecting minds, creating the future" and it has three main angles: opportunities, mobility and sustainability. Expo 2020 will be open for 6 months in total and is expected to receive around 25 million visitors.

For me it was a beautiful experience to have walked through the more than 190 pavilions knowing the different ideas that each country represented on these issues. The whole place was very well prepared, organized and with a very high level of quality offering extraordinary service. Customer service is provided by hundreds of volunteers who are there with a smile to help with whatever is needed.

The whole environment is relaxing for you and your mind, with beautiful forest background sounds and a relaxing experience to the point where it could easily be a good place to meditate.

To have a more complete event experience, I recommend going for several days. All that is seen there is to connect you and have a better future, a greener planet, showing the way to a sustainable way out.

As you walk you can see the beautiful giant solar flower panels generated by 50% of the total electrical energy needed in this small town created for this site that will continue to have a life of its own with a residential and commercial neighborhood known as District 2020. After the expo closes its doors in March 2022, everything will be recyclable.

I noticed with the details and dedication that the Dubai Leaders prepared this event to receive many people from all corners of the world, showing their openness, their willingness to contribute to a more sustainable planet and show that Dubai is ready and prepared for the Vision. 2050 that was recently released.

Great leadership is required, to be able to develop such an event in this way, it is necessary to have a clear vision and a great motivated team to deliver a project of this nature, size and Global Relevance.
