Leadership in the era of Artificial Intelligence

An artificial intelligence (AI) model developed and trained by OpenAI has provided visual reasoning and language understanding capabilities to Figure 01, a humanoid robot that can maintain natural conversations and execute actions just as a human would.

Although the intention is to entrust these general-purpose machines with routine or risky activities, I couldn't help but wonder if this could at some point affect leadership figures in the world of work? Could it be that robots will take tasks from us, saving us time and being able to dedicate ourselves more to spiritual life?

Robots do not face the unpredictable events that we humans suffer, so it is very possible that their decisions are more logical, based on facts. Robots can work all day, every day. They don't need sleep, weekends or vacations.

AI is particularly good at repetitive, routine tasks and thinking systematically. That is, you are more likely to take charge of hard skills but not so much soft skills.

Artificial Intelligence is transforming leadership in organizations, and it is essential that today's leaders understand and adapt to this change. Not only does AI have the potential to increase efficiency and productivity, it can also free up employees to focus on tasks that require more critical, creative thinking and uniquely human skills. In a world increasingly driven by Artificial Intelligence, the figure of the leader takes on a new dimension and a new challenge of balancing technology with humanity by making decisions while maintaining their own judgment and experience.

As leaders, we must engage, stimulate and encourage our teams, especially in times of uncertainty. Can a robot motivate its followers and improve the state of the world? One day maybe, but not yet.

Personally, I believe that humans have certain unique qualities that technology will never have (at least for now). While AI can do amazing things, it still lacks the emotional intelligence and creativity that people possess. Humans and AI, working together can create an effective synergy and achieve great things. What do you think about this?
